DESCRIPTION:The Village Board of Trustees will meet at 7pm in the Board Room at the Community Center\, 6 Academy St\, Greenwich\, NY. Two Public Hearings\, starting at 7:00pm \nTwo Public Hearings will be held at the Regular Village Board Meeting \nTax Cap Override – a proposed local law authorizing the Village of Greenwich to override the property tax levy limit for the fiscal year commencing June 1st\, 2026 pursuant to subdivision 5 of General Municipal Law Section 3-c. \nAmendment to Local Law No. 1 of 1982 entitled “UNSAFE BUILDING DEMOLITION LAW” Section 7 of Local Law #1 of 1982 is deleted in its entirety and replaced with the following: “Emergency Provisions – In case of an emergency\, where the process and proceedings set forth in Section 3 of this local law would\, if followed\, result in the probable loss of life\, serious bodily harm or damage to property\, the Mayor shall have the authority to order that such actions be taken as are necessary to protect persons and property. All costs and expenses arising out of or caused by the emergency actions shall be the responsibility of the property owner.” \n  \n
